Fast bowler Naseem Shah believes Mohammad Amir's experience of playing in various T20 leagues will come in handy in the upcoming World Cup.

Amir came out of retirement in March this year and made himself available for selection in the World Cup set to be played in June.

Amir, alongside Imad Wasim, were selected for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand which ended in a draw (2-2).

“Amir has experience from playing in the leagues which is proving beneficial for the team,” Naseem said during a media session at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore [as quoted by Geo Super].

“I’m fit and ready for the World Cup. I want to help my team win the tournament,” he added.
