Having last played a test match for Pakistan in 2009, a decade long exile for Fawad Alam ends today.

Pakistan Cricket Board have today announced the squad for the two-match test series against Sri Lanka.

They have made two changes to the squad that lost badly against Baggy Greens in Australia. Musa Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed, the two players to make way for Usman Shinwari and Pakistan's forgotten son, Fawad Alam.

Fawad has been scoring runs in the domestic circuit consistently. He recently completed 12000 runs in first-class cricket while scoring a double century against Southern Punjab in Quaid-e-Azam trophy,  Round 9 match.  He amassed 781 runs this season at an average of 71 with four centuries. Fawad Alam finally getting his deserved place in the national team.

Another surprise inclusion is that of Imam ul Haq. He scored 2 runs in two innings in the second test match and despite his numbers being bad in test cricket, he still has been selected.

The first test starts on December 11 at Pindi Cricket Stadium while the second test starts on December 19 at National Stadium Karachi.
